We’re so excited to be able to welcome one of the UK’s finest Gospel Vocalists to Black Music Festival Main Stage this year. Janine most recently lit up our TV screens as on the BBC’s ‘The Voice UK’ but that was just the latest success in an incredible career which has seen her singing on major platforms around the World in Europe, America, Africa & Asia.

Coming from a hugely talented musical family, music has always played a strong role in her life since she began singing at the tender age of 5 years old.
Janine has enjoyed a colourful career performing with various groups and choirs and working with musical royalty including Chaka Khan, Boy Zone, Gladys Knight, Shola Ama, Andrew Lloyd Webber, and P.Diddy to name but a few.

As testament to Janine’s diverse talent she also big in the UK House and Garage scene, featuring on many big house and garage tracks in the late 90’s, performing live in international dance clubs Ministry of Sound, Legends Club, Zoo and Adrenalin Village and collaborating with well-known DJ’s 7th district, David Morales, M BEAT and Bobbi & Steve.

More recently Janine has travelled with the Multi-Award winning UK Gospel Group ‘Raymond & Co’ sharing the stage with leading gospel artists Kirk Franklin, Fred Hammond, Karen Clark Sheard, Twinkie Clark, Kim Burrell, Vanessa Bell Armstrong, Tye Tribbett, Deitrick Haddon.

On a more local level Janine used her vocal and performing talents to found the Sheffield Community Choir under the name “Singspirations” providing vocal training and gospel style singing for weddings & functions. She is passionate about using her talents to help others and runs community workshop sessions, providing professional advice for singers, song writers & for vocal arrangement for recording artists & backing vocalists.
